These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Interlengua's website, located at https://www.interlengua.online

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use Interlengua- Online Language School if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

Registration

You sign up for one or several of our online courses by contacting us via email or Whatsapp. When you sign up, you need to fill an enrollment form with your name, email address, gender, age, nationality, phone number, city, country of residence, and any other invoicing details. By registering you agree our General Conditions, and you consent to INTERLENGUA-online language school sending you occasional emails with information on our courses and offers. You will receive the invoice by email.

In order to guarantee the running of the course we need:

a) A minimum of 3 students for online group classes, and for SFB (Spanish for business) classes. The number of students for group classes is up to 6, conversation clubs and workshops included.

b) It is necessary to have an attendance of at least 70% to receive the certificate.

c) On public holidays (Ecuador), there will be no classes. It will be notified in advance.

d) If the minimum number of students is not reached to start the course session, the start date will be postponed and students that are already enrolled will be notified. If the student prefers to get the money back, we can refund the money.

Scheduling

Before enrolling in one of our online courses, you must check with INTERLENGUA-online language school, the available schedules that are shown in GMT-5- Ecuador time.

Course and lesson lenght

The lenght of a lesson is...

a)90 minutes for group classes, Spanish for business classes;

b)60 minutes for Spanish for kids classes;

c)60 minutes for one-on-one lessons, conversation clubs;

d)90 minutes DELE and DELF workshops.

The course lenght is...

a) A1 and A2 levels- B2B and B2C Group classes last 16 weeks (64 hours each level)

b) B1 and B2 levels- B2B and B2C Group classes last 24 weeks (96 hours each level)

c) Spanish for business classes can vary the lenght and extension. We recommend two lessons a week (around 4 hours a week). Iit could be more lessons a week or a shorter lesson length, depending on the client's deadline, needs and objectives. This course length is about 3 to 4 months per CEFR level (Communicative Spanish)

d) Spanish and French for kids classes. 2 lessons a week (2 hours a week). We offer 3 levels A1.1 (12 weeks); A1.2 (12 weeks); A2.1 (12 weeks). The whole course is finished in 9 months.

e) Conversation Clubs last 4-5 weeks (4-5 hours)

f) DELE and DELF workshops last 8 weeks (16 hours)

g) Lenght for one-one-one lessons. It is recommended a 60 min-lesson, twice a week. The course length is variable. It depends on student’s availability, needs, pace and goals.

Packages and subscriptions expire 8 months after having paid.

Cancellation policy

a) You are under absolutely no obligation to take any more lessons after the trial lesson. In the event that you need to cancel/reschedule your trial session appointment, we request that you notify us 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

b) For whatever reason, the teacher is not able to do a lesson, students will be notified and the lesson will be rescheduled (for group classes) or refunded (only one-on-one lessons) in the next payment.
c)
In group classes, conversation clubs and workshops, if the student is absent, the money is not refunded, and the lesson can’t be canceled or rescheduled. However, the lesson will be recorded and will be sent to the absent students.

d) In one-on-one lessons, the student can cancel or reschedule twice a month, at most.

e) For one-on-one lessons, cancellation is 24 hours in advance by email. If canceled within 24 hours before the start of the class, the student will be charged.

f)The teacher must wait for 20 minutes, if any student shows up, the lesson of any of the courses (even one-on-one lessons, workshops or conversation clubs),is charged anyway.

Payment

a) Money can be refunded before the first lesson. After having done the first lesson, money is not refunded.

b) The group classes and one-on-one lessons are both paid in advance. The payment has to be done before starting the course session.

c) Payment for classes can be done via Remitly, Paypal or Payphone, a safe and secure way to pay via debit or credit card or bank transfer. If you need an invoice, please request it in advance and we will send it by email.

d) INTERLENGUA-online language school reserves the right to change at any time the terms and conditions concerning the rates and cancellation . Students will be notified in advance.

e)After finishing your payment you will receive a confirmation by email and you are officially enrolled in the chosen course.

f) INTERLENGUA-online language school is not responsible for any additional bank fees, or other fees charged after payment.

Discounts

If you refer a friend to join one of our courses, you can get up to 10% discount in your next payment (level payment or package of hours purchased).

Free trial lesson

If you are interested in enrolling in one of our group classes (Kids classes, conversation clubs and workshops included), one-one-one classes or Spanish for business classes, you can book a free 30 min-trial lesson for one-on-one lessons or a free attendance at one of our group lessons. In both cases, you need to click on the “book a trial lesson” button, then fill a temporary registration form and finally choose the type of course you are interested in. Assessment

For all the online courses we offer, except conversation clubs, students have to do homeworks (continuous assessment) that are corrected by the teacher during or after the lesson. These homeworks count as a 50% of the final grade. Besides, the student must do a written and/or oral final task at the end of each unit that represents the other 50%. To pass the course level, it is mandatory to have a minimum of 70% of the grade. Also, at the end of each CEFR level (A1, A2, B1, B2), the student needs to take a final exam to be able to continue to the following CEFR level. Additionally, It is necessary to have an attendance of at least 70% to pass the course level.

Privacy and personal information

Your privacy is very important to INTERLENGUA-online language school. Your data will not be provided to third parties. All sensitive (personal) information about our students is considered to be strictly confidential and will not be shared with parties outside INTERLENGUA-online language school.

Technical information

All lessons, including conversation clubs take place using video conferencing software such as Skype, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. You will need a reliable internet connection and a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone.

Questions and complaints

a) Administrative and content-related questions about the online courses will be answered by INTERLENGUA-online language school within 10 workdays of the date received, unless this is not reasonably possible.

b) Please submit any complaints to us in writing by email. We will send you a confirmation of receipt including the target date for INTERLENGUA-online language school to handle your complaint.

Legal jurisdiction

All our products, services, and delivery conditions are at all times and in any event subject to Ecuadorian law.
